...was originally an old butcher's shop situated in Tarifa's old town, close to the markets. In fact the old meat hooks still protrude from the walls of the restaurant, an ironic reminder of the heritage of the building. It was converted to a small vegetarian take-away around 18 years ago by an enterprising young couple who had a dream of living more sustainably and has

been a cornerstone of that family philosophy ever since. A combination of a love of travel and cuisine from all over the world, and talent for woodwork created this unique, cosy little place which grew over the years, along with the family, in to the small and charming restaurant it is today.

In 2021...

...the restaurant has moved on to a new Family. However, we are committed to keeping Chilimosa just as it always has been! With a focus on sourcing as much local, sustainable products and ingredients as we can and producing wholesome, home-made and healthy food that's as good for the planet as it is for you. We have the same drive and passion for all the flavours and food that the world has to offer while at the same time looking after the environment, and we look forward to welcoming you soon!
